Sailfest - July 14, 2018


All buses will depart Water Street at 8 am.  At the 9:00 hour, all buses will depart from the New London Shopping Center (Bank of America bus stop location.)  This will continue for the remainder of our service day.  This realignment is for Saturday service only.  Sunday all buses will resume regular services.

Full-Time Dispatcher (Shifts will include nights and weekends) 

We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, a quick learner who can take the initiative, is safety-driven and enjoys being part of a small team that takes pride in their service to the community

Dispatcher Job Duties:

  • Directs movement of buses via radio and computer
  • Communicates clearly, concisely and authoritatively with bus operators
  • Coordinates detours and emergency situations
  • Provides information about SEAT service to general public via telephone and social media
  • Coordinates communications between operators, supervisors and maintenance employees.
  • Ensures compliance with State, Federal and SEAT requirements.  Ensures a safe working environment.
  • Becomes familiar with Labor Agreement and ensures work is assigned in compliance with Agreement.
  • Completes daily reports and other paperwork as required.


  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite; previous experience with scheduling and vehicle tracking software is preferred.
  • Requires strong communication skills, especially verbal couple with good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to travel for training.
  • Valid CT Operators’ License.
  • Knowledge of SEAT system and service area.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing under Federal Transit Administration regulations.
